(2003, 3min., mini-DV, stereo) All footage for this piece was shot on March 18th, 2002 in Lake Worth, FL. Immediately after shooting this footage I returned to my grandmother's apartment to hear on CNN that the US would start bombing Iraq the next evening at 9pm EST. When I sat down to edit the footage, which had been a structural look at the framerate adjustment on my video camera I noticed how much the raindrops looked like explosions, and got my title. At one screening a visiting filmmaker noted how much the shots also resembled teardrops. |
