(2004, 5min., Super 8 on DV, stereo) In this piece I was interested in the formal qualities of the material I was working with (super8 footage transferred to video from a wall) as well as matching visual rhythms with aural ones. The sense of travel and flight in the content of the shots comments on the travelogue tradition of super8, and the driving, almost fascist editing is a reflection of the precision possible with digital video editing. |
